AU PIED DE COCHON VERSUS ANTHONY BOURDAIN

Au Pied de Cochon I finally visited this legendary restaurant on Sunday October 9 .  I had the happy pork chop and the cod fritters for dessert. The chop was succulent and served with a jus  that was sweet and had flavours from the wood smoker that you can see in the background of the video. Next time I use my hands to finish it.  For dessert I had  the cod fish fritters that were seconds from the fryer.  Served in a paper cone, great portion salty and  delicious  They had run out of   glass of reisling I had chosen, my server suggested another it was a great accompaniment  to the pork.  The wine list is very extensive, I could not find it in on their website.
I was lucky enough to sit right where the video starts.  The kitchen staff was  a great combination of playfull and  proffesssionial focus. They treated me with grace and sincere hospitality It was fun to watch them dance in a very small  space.  The serving staff was atractive, attentive, professional and polite  I got lost walking there and the host was  nice enough to hold my reservation.  She was very kind.  The music was Quebecois themed and perfect for the room The decor was warm and inviting as you will see in the video   It was a wonderful experience; it inspired  and humbled me both as a lover of food and as a restaurantuer The bill including tip was 55. No bullshit pretense. I will be back  Jmais souviens      Rermercier
